About Us
We are a growing mechanical installation company specializing in commercial kitchen hood systems, ductwork, ventilation, and related mechanical projects throughout New York. We work with restaurants, hospitality groups, general contractors, and developers on fast-paced commercial construction projects.
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and experienced In-House Project Manager to oversee projects from kickoff through completion.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will coordinate multiple commercial hood and duct installation projects, manage schedules, communicate with clients and field crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This is an in-office position with regular coordination between the office, field teams, vendors, and job sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial kitchen hood and duct installation projects from start to finish
- Coordinate scheduling with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors
- Review plans, specifications, and project scope
- Track project timelines, change orders, and job costs
- Prepare and maintain project documentation
- Communicate with inspectors, clients, and site supervisors
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries
- Attend job meetings and occasional site visits
- Ensure compliance with NYC codes, safety standards, and project requirements
- Resolve project issues quickly and professionally
- Support estimating and closeout processes as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical construction, HVAC, ductwork, kitchen exhaust systems, or related trades
- Previous project management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial construction workflows
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- NYC construction experience strongly preferred
